How to connect ActiveCampaign with foroom
In short
With foroom you connect your community directly to ActiveCampaign ā contacts get tagged and added to lists automatically the moment something happens in your community.
No more tagging by hand: a trigger like a community join fires the matching action in ActiveCampaign right away.
š How the connection works
The integration runs on rules: an event in foroom automatically fires an action in ActiveCampaign.
Triggers include a community join, a community leave, or live event attendance. Actions let you add a tag or add the contact to a list.
Requirements
An ActiveCampaign account with API access, and the owner role in your community.
Connect ActiveCampaign to foroom
You need two things to connect: your API credentials from ActiveCampaign, and your community settings in foroom.
1. Get your API credentials in ActiveCampaign
Sign in to your ActiveCampaign account and open Settings ā Developer. You'll find your API URL and API key there.
Copy both values ā you'll need them in the next step, in foroom.
2. Connect in foroom
Open your community's settings and go to the Email tab ā Integrations. Click Connect next to ActiveCampaign.
Enter the API URL and API key and confirm with Connect. foroom checks the credentials right away.

3. Create a rule
Once connected, set up rules: pick a trigger like Member joins community and an action like Add tag.
Every rule runs independently ā add as many trigger and action combinations as you need.

š” Which triggers and actions are available?
Triggers include: member joins community, member leaves community, membership ended, and the three live event triggers registered, attended, and missed.
Note
Only the owner can connect foroom to ActiveCampaign or disconnect it.
Actions let you add a tag or add the contact to an existing list from your ActiveCampaign account.
š See the sync working
Every sync attempt gets logged ā contact, trigger fired, action taken, and the result.
That way you always know which members have already landed in ActiveCampaign.
