How to automate community access with ablefy
In short
You no longer need to reconcile purchases in spreadsheets or remove members by hand when someone cancels.
Link your community to an ablefy product: after purchase, payers get access automatically — when a subscription ends or a payment is reversed, foroom revokes access again.
🔍 Why automation beats manual lists
Many community owners still manage access manually: tracking purchases in tables, sending invites, and removing members one by one when a subscription ends.
That takes time and creates risk — for example, someone staying in the community after they cancelled.
With the ablefy integration, foroom handles access and revocation for payers of the linked product. You set up the link once; member management runs in the background.
For free vs paid access models, see our article on offering your community free or paid — the ablefy link works the same way in both cases.
⚙️ Link an ablefy product to your community
Connect your ablefy account in community settings and choose the product that controls access.
1. Connect ablefy and select a product
Open your community settings and go to Member access (or Access).
Choose Access via ablefy and click Connect ablefy account if you are not signed in yet.
In the dialog, pick a published paid ablefy product — for example a membership, course, or subscription.

2. Save the link and confirm sync
Note
The product must have sales approval enabled in ablefy before you can select it in foroom.
Confirm your choice. foroom shows the linked product and that automatic access management is active.
From now on, payers of that product sync with your community — you no longer maintain separate invite lists.

💡 What happens automatically — and when access ends
Once the link is in place, you do not activate each purchase manually:
• Product purchase → community access is granted automatically
• Subscription cancellation or expiry → access is revoked automatically
• Chargeback or failed renewal → no ongoing access without a valid purchase
You do not need to remove people from the group just because a subscription lapsed.
👀 What members experience
After they pay through ablefy, they become members in your community — in the rooms, feed, and member list you set up.
When access ends, they lose community access and you do not need to update spreadsheets.
