Invite new members with one link – instead of one by one
In short
Every community in foroom has a permanent invite link. You share it where your people already read — in your newsletter, your welcome email, or a course module — instead of inviting one person at a time.
Whoever opens the link sends you a join request. All requests gather in one place, and you approve them whenever it suits you.
🔍 Two ways new members find you
The Invite members dialog gives you two routes: email invitations to specific addresses — up to ten at a time — or Invite by link for everyone who receives your link.
The link pays off as soon as you reach many prospects through channels you already have: welcome emails, newsletters, ablefy modules, or the link in your bio. You share it once, and foroom collects the join requests for you.
⚙️ How to set up your invite link
Open your community and click Invite members — in the member area on the right or on the Members page. Scroll to Invite by link: your link is already waiting there, nothing to generate.
⚠️ Important
If your community is tied to an ablefy product (Settings → Access → Access after purchase), the same link leads straight to checkout instead of a join request. For the workflow in this article, keep Request to join active.
Leave approval switched on
Keep Require approval on when you want to see who is knocking before they come in. The link can travel anywhere — the decision stays with you.
One click on Copy Link puts it on your clipboard. From there it goes wherever your buyers and prospects are already reading.

What happens when someone opens your link
💡 Note
With Require approval off it gets more direct: anyone already signed in joins with one click, everyone else signs up first. For small beta rounds that is pleasantly simple — for newsletters and course funnels, approval keeps things calmer.
Anyone who clicks your link lands on your community landing page, enters their email address, and clicks Send join request.
They then see a note that the request is waiting for approval. As soon as you say yes, an email goes out automatically — until then your community stays closed.

⚙️ Approve requests whenever it suits you
Under Pending membership requests every request gathers in one place, including the ones from your link. The checkmark means welcome, the X means not this time.
Owners and admins can approve. Anyone without a foroom account automatically receives a setup email when you approve — so list maintenance is off your plate.

Where your link belongs
Put it where your people already read: day 3 of your welcome series, a PS in your newsletter, or a friendly note in the first module of your ablefy course.
If you have connected ablefy products to your community, the same dialog shows an Access link per product plus a jump to its thank-you page — exactly right for people who just bought.
The link never changes, so you do not rebuild it for every campaign. Only if you change the community slug in settings do you swap it once in your templates.
👀 Your workflow at a glance
You keep sending the content you write anyway — the invite link handles the rest.
In four steps
- Copy the link: in the Invite members dialog, under Invite by link, click Copy Link.
- Place the link: add it once to your welcome email, newsletter, or course module — not per campaign.
- Let requests come in: whoever clicks lands on your landing page and sends you a join request.
- Approve: tick the checkmark under Pending membership requests — and they are in.
If you sell your community through an ablefy product, buyers get access right after checkout. The invite link is your way to everyone else: leads, waitlists, and existing customers.
